Women in Power

Never before have there been so many women all around the world that are not only beautiful but also highly successful. We are surrounded by women of all colours and ages that are beautiful and more importantly fashionable business women. Here are four ladies that are an inspiration to me for various reasons:
Kimora Lee Simmons Hounsou
Kimora is not only a fashion mogul and business woman, but also a wife and mother of three. And she only just turned 36! Kimora is an inspiration because she started modelling at the age of 13 and could have easily rested on her laurels after modelling fr a few years. However, she made a name for herself by creating Baby Phat with her then husband Russell Simmons. Apart from the huge success that Baby Phat brought to Kimora, she also has her TV shows and Kouture by KLS. Even after leaving Baby Phat, her name continues to be on everyone's lips as she has started her skin care range and released her 6th fragrance. Go Kimora!

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is everywhere! She's on our TV screens, the internet, QuickTrim, books and endorsements. She is a true businesswoman. Having capitalised on the success of her family's reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians", Kim has become a household name. She earns thousand of dollars for appearances at events and clubs and endorses product after product. And let's not forget her store DASH that her and her sisters own. Her Sketchers ad even featured during the Superbowl!
I know that the best is yet to come for our lovely Kim- you go girl!

Kate Moss
Supermodel Kate Moss is not just a supermodel. She's an all-rounder: she designed her own range for Topshop, has appeared on over 50 magazine covers, has released 4 fragrances and has even tried her hand at singing. She has done campaigns for major designers including Chanel, Bulgari and Burberry.
Even after she fell from grace with her cocaine scandal, Kate bounced back stronger than ever to prove that she has what it takes.
Her laid-back rock chick style is coveted by many women and with her wedding coming up this summer, I know her wedding dress will be highly anticipated by fashionistas around the world.

Tyra Banks
She brought us "America's Next Top Model"- need I say more?
Tyra also started as a model, but has managed to build a brand for herself through ANTM and her chat show "The Tyra Banks Show". The show even won the 2008 Daytime Emmy Award. She retired from her modelling career in 2005 to concentrate on her television career.
Tyra has appeared in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "Gossip Girl".
She is an inspiration to aspiring businesswomen as she has successfully created the "Tyra" brand that is followed by millions of women around the world.
